MAKING THE MOST OF YOUR OFF-SEASON
Melissa Welsh will talk about creative and financial growth through self initiated assignments and projects. Topics covered will be – book creation, community projects, creative photo sessions for marketing and more. If you’re looking to make some extra money in your slow season – this is a presentation you don’t want to miss!
Melissa Welsh is a multi-disciplined photographer who lives in the beautiful city of Nelson, British Columbia. She studied in London, Ontario, and has since built a career photographing weddings, families and outdoor pursuits. She is a fun, free-spirited individual with a deep love for adventure. Her work can be found in private collections around the world as well as in regional, national and international publications. Her client list includes: CBC, Mountain Equipment Co-op, Kootenay Rockies Tourism, Westworld, BC Business, Climbing, Kootenay Mountain Culture and Explore Magazine. She has sat on the Board of Directors for the Nelson and District Chamber of Commerce, the Executive Committee of the Nelson Business Association and is currently serving as the President for the Professional Photographers of Canada -BC.

IMAGE REVIEW
PPOC judges will critique and make suggestions on YOUR images. Learn and grow by listening to what the accredited judges have to say about your images. Digital submissions will be submitted in advance. This critique is open to all attendees. For PPOC members this is a chance to perfect your salon images prior to submission deadlines.

PROFESSIONAL PHOTOGRAPHERS OF CANADA MEET AND GREET
Join our PPOC-BC President, Melissa Welsh at the Ramada Mickie’s Pub for a casual but informative session about the benefits of joining the Professional Photographer’s of Canada. Ask questions, share ideas, and meet other PPOC members in a relaxed atmosphere. This is a free meet and greet, and open to anyone with an interest in photography.
